A staging of spoons

What is the collective noun for a group of spoons?

Of course cutlery is one, but includes knives and forks within its purview, in which I have no interest. A google search led me to this discussion , and 'a stirring of spoons' seems very fitting, although 'an independence of spoons' has a particular gravitas combined with an unruly streak. A staging of spoons seems most fitting to a project for which isolating at home has finally given me the time and headspace. It also fulfils a long-held joke, you might say destiny.

I'll admit now that I don't actually particularly care about spoons, but this joke, and the naming of my online accounts to which it led me, has led to many wonderful gifts over the years. Some are historic, some modern (one isn't really a spoon but I couldn't resist) and all have memories of friends, family and visits or holidays attached to them.

I've had these two 'frames' for a few years, one an old, rather beautiful cutlery tray from my grandparents, the other a thimble display frame bought in a Norfolk charity shop and kindly cleaned up by my husband. I thought they could be perfect for displaying my growing collection of spoons. You'll spot there's also room for expansion space, like all good collections storage plans. Now I just need to find some wall space to hang them.
